Celebrity Divorce Headlines and Off-Topic Chatter
Good to be back to Seattle as I had to see my attorney…this article is slighty off-topic but is something I am interested in personally, that is, celebrity gossip. You can’t imagine the cost of divorce unless you’ve experienced it firsthand. The pain can be beyond anything you’ve ever known, and for children, it can change them forever.
For the rich and famous, divorce seems more of a circus spectacle that we seem to be morbidly fascinated by. Their divorces give us something we might never otherwise see; a window into their lives and just how rich they really are. All in all, there is a good reason why a Seattle divorce attorney or a national family law or divorce attorney for that matter can make so much, after all they can save their client a lot of bread in the long haul. Here in Seattle divorce seems to be prolific too.
I came across a great blog at sastha-knowyourledge.blogspot.com. It has all manner of interesting tidbits, from all the ways you can benefit by going vegetarian, to “30 Stencil Graffiti Artworks that are worth seeing,” and “Ten Most Expensive Divorce Settlements in Hollywood.”
According to the piece, posted January 15, 2011, the number one spot in the divorce parade went to Michael Jordan & Juanita Vanoy, whose marriage began in 1989, and saw 18 years of marriage, three kids, and whose divorce resulted in a divorce settlement of 168 million dollars. According to the blog, it was the largest divorce settlement in Hollywood history.
Number two spot went to Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey, who married in 1969. After 27 years of marriage and two sons, Diamond paid up with a 150 million dollar settlement. That Neil Diamond is a class act. He remarked that, “She is the most wonderful woman, who stood by me through rough times, so she deserves every penny of it.” Why’d she divorce him?
